Maryland Institute College of Art | Orientation Identity - 2007
In 2007 as a graduating senior from the Maryland Institute College of Art, I was selected for the position as designer of the orientation identity for the incoming class of 2011. The project involved the development of a logo derived from the orientation theme "evolve". As the unifying element for the entire orientation program, it was essential that the logo itself visually evolve as an implication of the formative process an art student would undergo during their time at MICA from orientation to graduation.

Versatility being crucial, the logo appeared in various formats including on the covers of the orientation program and schedules, as well as on pens, address labels, the MICA website, and the t-shirts worn by the Orientation team. Working closely with the Orientation committee I developed a cohesive welcome package designed to inform, engage, and guide new students through uncharted terrain during their first few days at art school.
